Volunteer drivers to lead the Trishaw [rickshaw] in and around Wick. This vehicles enables disabled or poor mobility people to get out and about for recreational purposes. The vehicle is pedal power and electric back up. volunteers receive full training and support.
Rural Connections is new to 2021. It brings the learning from Cycling UK’s existing projects to deliver activities and opportunities for everyone in our less urbanised locations in Scotland, enabling them to walk, wheel and cycle, for everyday journeys, leisure, and adventure. Provide access to a range of cycles for people to try on short or long-term loan, supporting individuals to find a cycle and support that works for them and signposting them to partners that can provide funding for purchases
Experience required: Friendly, good social communication, must have decent level of fitness to navigate roads etc
