Description

As a marketing volunteer, you will have the opportunity to support our social media and communications activity. This will include engaging with the local community, promoting partnership work, and growing our core service users.
The volunteer will be expected to have experience and confidence using social media platforms to communicate with the local community and partners both locally and nationally. (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. You will also be confident using graphic design platforms and video creation tools such as Canva & Movie Maker to create concise and engaging content which showcases our work and informs the community of our services. Volunteer must understand and adhere to organisations GDPR.

This post is ideally suited to a graduate student in business or marketing, or someone with relevant experience who is looking for volunteering work to make an impact in the third sector.

Organisation aims and objectives

To improve the health and wellbeing of the population of Greater Shotts area.Involve local people in defining, supporting, managing + using existing services to improve their health. Establish a food co-op, breakfast clubs, Health and leisure initiatves. Creation of Healthy Living Centre and eight information points - centre to include - Food co-op, cyber/healthy eating cafe, smoking cessation, drugs + alcohol counselling, Family Planning

Requirements Age over 18. Long-term potential to look at funding opportunities to cover staff costs and development within role.
