Description

Our Save the Children Charity Shop in North Berwick has been a much loved part of the local community for years and continues to be hugely popular with customers and supporters, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the wonderful Volunteer Team.

If you would like to volunteer with us all you will need is some enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference. Volunteer tasks include:

*customer service
*sorting donations
*steaming clothes
*visual merchandising

You can choose how much time you dedicate, and we’ll give you training and support along the way. No special skills are needed, and we welcome people from all nationalities and backgrounds.

Organisation aims and objectives

Our aim is to improve and save the lives of children all over the world and in the UK. We work in over 120 countries. Our growing network of charity shops allow us to raise money and awareness for Save the Children.

Restrictions

Experience required: No previous experience or skills are required, as all training and support will be provided on an ongoing basis.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Travel expenses can be reimbursed as and when incurred.
Taster details: Once you’ve completed an application form we’ll invite you in for a look round the shop and a chance to meet some of the team.
Training details: Initial training covers your safety and wellbeing and then the regular day to day shop processes are learnt via shadowing other volunteers.
