Description

Narture CIC is an artist collective, working to fund arts projects in Ayr. BREAD is our experimental kitchen and bakery where we bake real sourdough bread to ‘earn the dough’ to fund arts projects. So if you love art and food then this is the right place for you! We are a friendly little team in need of some help to make sure that everything is running smoothly. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to learn about sourdough baking and always have access to some freshly baked sourdough bread; that’s the least we can do to thank our volunteers. Working with us you can also meet new people in your local area make new connections.
We are currently looking for a volunteer bookkeeper/treasurer to report to our Finance Director. Main duties will include:

  • Recording financial transactions
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable
  • Managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Paying regular bills for the company
  • Maintaining company ledgers

Organisation aims and objectives

We are an artist collective: Narture CIC, nurturing the arts, respecting nature. We bake real bread to earn the dough to fund art projects in our experimental bakery/kitchen called BREAD at 3 Cathcart Street Ayr. Our goal is facilitating participatory arts and cultural activities which local communities can engage with, enlivening empty shops and spaces in Ayr.

Experience required: Book keeping skills Computers skills would be desirable
