Description

Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a community hub for people with sensory loss. During the pandemic we have moved much of our activity online. This includes our fundraising activities. Like many organisations this area of our work has been impacted and we are looking at new, innovative ways to continue to raise much needed funds for our activities.

Many of our activities have moved online and we need to be creative in thinking of new ways to fundraise in this way.

In this role you could be involved with the fundraising group to develop and organise virtual fundraising activities. The role will involve:

  • Organising virtual events to help raise funds for the Centre e.g. coffee mornings, afternoon teas, sponsored events
  • Participating in national fundraising events on behalf of the Sensory Centre e.g. recruiting runners for 5K events, half marathons, Kiltwalk etc
  • Assisting the Fundraising committee to come up with new ideas to raise funds and make contacts to raise the profile of the Centre and much needed funds

Organisation aims and objectives

Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a place where people with a visual or hearing loss, their friends, families, carers and the wider community can access quality services and advice from our partner organisations. The Centre is inclusive, accessible and aims to promote the involvement of the wider community and build positive relationships across Forth Valley.
