Description

KLSB Food Pantry need volunteers to join them to help them continue to provide their valued pantry service to local people - this is a great opportunity to join a group who have supported our local communities throughout the period of COVID restrictions!

Volunteer/s are needed to help at the Pantry on King Street, Stenhousemuir - their role will include helping to receive delivery of donated food items and stocking the Pantry with these, and general helping and tidying up around the Pantry so it is a safe, welcoming space for Pantry users to attend.

Volunteers should be able to commit to at least 3 months so they have the opportunity to settle in to their role and so Pantry users have the chance to build relationships with the volunteers.

The Pantry operates on different days and times to suit the needs of the people who use the service, if you'd like to help please get in touch to discuss your availability and when might suit best for you to help.

Organisation aims and objectives

KLSB are a local community group who were set up in March 2019 to help tidy up the green spaces of Larbert & Stenhousemuir. On our very first litter pick more than 40 volunteers came out in the rain and helped rid the local park of over 100 bin bags worth or litter as well as many other discarded items. We continue to plant and maintain various flower beds in the area plus we also run a community food pantry for vulnerable people and low income households.
