Description

One Seed Forward is a constituted voluntary organisation based in Aberdeen City & Shire with the aim to encourage everyone to grow their own fruit and vegetables by giving them the means to do so. We focus on community locally by supporting families & community groups and education nationally through our OSF Garden Schools programme.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused Secretary to join our committee reporting to the Chair and be responsible for the recording and documenting of the business of One Seed Forward. This is an unpaid position though expenses will be reimbursed. The estimated time commitment is 2-3 hours per week.

-Secretary Responsibilities:
• Record and transcribe minutes of all committee meetings and AGMs
• Distribute minutes and other relevant information as required to all members in advance of each meeting
• Maintain files of minutes, correspondence etc on the organisation’s behalf
• Book meeting rooms if required or arrange video conference meetings to all attendees
• Ensure meetings are in accordance with the organisation’s Constitution

Restrictions

Experience required: • Experience in secretarial role preferred but not essential • Computer skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent organisation skills with ability to work to deadlines
Travel details: This position can be done from home with occasional site visits in Aberdeen City & Shire for meetings with the Chair and committee.
Minimum age: 18

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We will pay any reasonable expenses incurred to fulfil the functions of the position on submission of a claim form. These will typically be reimbursed in 2-3 weeks.
Training details: Good support and and any relevant training is provided to all volunteers.
