Description

One Seed Forward is a constituted voluntary organisation based in Aberdeen City & Shire with the aim to encourage everyone to grow their own fruit and vegetables by giving them the means to do so. We focus on community locally by supporting families & community groups and education nationally through our OSF Garden Schools programme.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused media coordinator to join us reporting to the Committee and be responsible for maintaining and creating our media content. This is an unpaid position though expenses will be reimbursed. The estimated time commitment is 4-5 hours per week.

-Media Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Execute a results driven social media strategy
• Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms and websites
• Assist in the creation and editing of written, video and photo content
• Maintain unified branding across different social media channels
• Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries and comments
• Create pamphlets and brochures to support our community and educational activities

Restrictions

Experience required: • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills • Working knowledge of major social media platforms and Wordpress • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent organisation and team-building skills • Detail oriented approach with ability to meet deadlines
Travel details: This position can be done from home with occasional site visits in Aberdeen City & Shire for meetings with the Chair and committee.
Minimum age: 18

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We will pay any reasonable expenses incurred to fulfil the functions of the position on submission of a claim form. These will typically be reimbursed in 2-3 weeks.
Training details: Good support and and any relevant training is provided to all volunteers.
