Retail Volunteer

  • VO86380

We are looking for volunteers to help us in our Alloa charity shop. You will be helping us with the day to day running of the shop so we can raise vital funds to support people affected by death, dying or bereavement. The main tasks will include helping us to sort through the donations that arrive in the shop, stocking our shelves with items for sale and serving our customers on the till. If you have an eye for fashion or you love to make things look nice then you can even help us to make our shop look fantastic for our customers.

Organisation aims and objectives

Every day of your life matters, from the first to the last. We believe everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel. We’ll be here for you and your family when you may feel like no-one else is, to help you cope when you don’t know how. Marie Curie Nurses care for you in your home, when you need them most, day or night. Our hospices are at the heart of communities around the UK. And our trained volunteers and advisers are here for you with practical information and support when you don’t know what to do next or just need to talk. We’ll be by your side with care and support every step of the way, bringing light in the darkest hours.

Experience required: Marie Curie are looking for volunteers who have a friendly and cheerful manner and love working with others. The ideal volunteer will be able to follow instructions, and to work both independently and as part of a team. An interest in fashion or a knowledge of popular and good quality brands will be useful but is not essential.
