We currently have around 40 shops/ community hubs across Scotland. Our shops and hubs help us raise funds so we can provide our services to the people who need us. Every one of our stores relies on a team of volunteers to help run it and support our staff. Quite simply, we cannot provide our services or raise funds without the amazing support of our volunteers. The time, support and the work they do is vital to us and the people we help. By helping out in one of our stores, you can make a difference to people and their families in Scotland who are isolated, scared or anxious about their condition.
We are looking for volunteers who can do the following tasks:
Champion door greeters which entails standing at our doors, greeting the customers letting them know to use hand sanitizer etc, keep the queue in order.
Customer care, which is based on the shop floor welcoming and assisting customers and ensuring the shop floor is regularly replenished.
Stockroom volunteer which is organising stock ready to put out on the shop floor.
We are Scotland’s health charity supporting people and their families across Scotland with chest, heart and stroke conditions. We want to make sure life living with a chest or heart condition or after a stroke is a life lived to the full. We will fight for better health for everyone and work to make sure there is help and support in every community. After a diagnosis of a chest or heart condition or a stroke, many people experience fear and isolation and struggle with the impact on their lives. Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland won’t stand for that. The care and support we deliver every day ensures everyone can live the life they want to. Across Scotland, over 1 million people – that’s one in five of the population – are living with the effects of serious chest and heart conditions and stroke. By 2021 we will double the number of people we support so that more people can live life to the full. We will do this by providing vital advice, information, and support through our No Life Half Lived Support services across Scotland. These services include our Advice Line, Stroke Nurse Service, Rehabilitation Support Service, Health Information, Health Defence, Education and E-learning, Financial Advice & Support and our Peer Support Groups.
