Description

Being a Community Connector Volunteer is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading health charity and make a real difference to the people we support.

Your role will include:

• Researching potential CHSS partner organisations using guidance provided; this may be groups, associations, local companies and schools.

• Locating contact details for mailings / event promotion

• Inputting data into either excel spreadsheet or database (Raisers Edge)

• Providing the fundraising team with feedback to research

Organisation aims and objectives

Offer advice, support and practical help to people to get their lives back on track after a stroke or diagnosis of a chest or heart condition.

Restrictions

Experience required: -Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes including word & excel -Have access to the internet and computer/laptop/tablet and a phone -Enjoy using the internet for research in the local community -Happy to work autonomously where required -Enjoy engaging with people over the phone and remotely -Friendly cheerful manner -Ability to give a regular time commitment to your volunteering role

Minimum age: 18

Support

Training details: You will be fully supported to undertake your role safely and effectively. You will be supported by CHSS Fundraising member of staff who will be your main point of contact. You will also be given a full induction and be expected to undertake core learning, which includes: -Health and Safety (COVID-19) -Equality & Diversity -Confidentiality and Safeguarding -GDPR Essentials
