School Uniform Exchange Assistant

Description

GRA's Uniform exchange was established last June to recycle school uniform from the local area. We take donations of uniform, wash and process them and re-distribute to local school children
Duties Include:
Sorting Donations
Cleaning donations i.e washing, drying and ironing
General tidying of the Uniform Exchange Area
Assisting with putting requests for items together for customers

Organisation aims and objectives

To improve the quality of life for individuals in our local community through the provision of a professional and focussed advice and information service. To provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice on a range of issues including benefits and debt. To promote our successful and sustainable charity shops which provide good quality and affordable products to our customers.

1 or 2 days a week, flexible to meet needs of the volunteer. This project tends to be busier at the start and end of each school term and then gets a bit quieter so flexibilty will be required

Restrictions

Experience required: Interest in helping families and young children
Travel details: This role is based in Huntly
Minimum age: 16

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Travel expenses can be paid for public transport and mileage. Forms are to be submitted monthly
Taster available: Yes
Training details: Induction training of GRA with the opportunity to undertake free courses with the Skills Network if they so wish
Support: Wheelchair Access/Disabled Access Toilet
