Description

Hub Advisors support clients accessing information and assistance. The role can include assistance with:
Digital Access
Form Filling
Making applications for benefits
Access to other services such as the food bank, baby bank and uniform exchange
Signposting

Organisation aims and objectives

To improve the quality of life for individuals in our local community through the provision of a professional and focussed advice and information service. To provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice on a range of issues including benefits and debt. To promote our successful and sustainable charity shops which provide good quality and affordable products to our customers.

This is a flexible role depending on how the volunteer would like to work

Restrictions

Experience required: IT Skills Good Telephone manner. Experience of dealing with the public
Minimum age: 16

Support

Expenses details: Travel expenses can be paid for public transport and mileage. Forms are to be submitted monthly
Taster available: Yes
Taster details: Opportunity to come in and shadow an advisor
Training details: Induction training of GRA with the opportunity to undertake free courses offered by the Skills Network if they so wish
Support: Wheelchair Access/Disabled Access Toilet
