Description

We are looking for people who would like to become a Health Walk Leader with our P4W Walk Project in partnership with the Maggie’s Centre in Inverness. This opportunity will involve supporting people with a cancer diagnosis to participate in short health walks to promote positive physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Organisation aims and objectives

1. Contribute to the development & improvement of health, wellbeing & social care in a sustainable way throughout Highlands, through partnerships with individuals, communities and private/statuary voluntary sectors, tackling isolation and social exclusion, facilitating independent living. 2. Provide advice & assistance with regard to enterprises whose activities are directed towards the above aims. 3.Providing training opportunities for those referred to above with a view to such residents acquiring skills which will assist them in obtaining paid employment
