Description

Last is a Glasgow based start-up social enterprise that aims to support people to reduce their plastic waste by providing advice and selling reusable products as alternatives. With our profits we are developing an education programme that will teach primary age children about how they can look after the environment. We are looking for someone who cares deeply about the environment and understands how to use the power of social media to create change. If you are on your own plastic free journey, all the better!
This is a flexible, work from home opportunity so you will need access to your own computer.
The marketing officer will support Last to build engagement with customers and increase revenue by planning and delivering marketing activity. You will work closely with the directors to plan marketing activity and be able to work independently to carry the work out and measure success.
You would:
Manage company Instagram account
Manage Facebook page
Contribute to website content including blogs and product descriptions
Create visual content for social media and website
Manage email marketing
Generate ideas for new marketing opportunities

We are a social enterprise that aims to support people to reduce their plastic waste by giving advice and selling products to make this easier. We do this on social media and via our online shop.

Frequency and commitment details

We are looking for someone to commit to around 7 hours a week but timings are completely flexible other than being occasionally available for calls or meetings at the weekend.

Restrictions

Experience required: Knowledge and experience of using social media A keen eye for detail and brand consistency Ability to manage own workload Enthusiasm for being environmentally friendly and preferably on your own plastic free journey A competent and compelling written communicator Experience creating visuals and graphics or keen to learn to use graphics packages Ability to come up with new ideas
Travel details: This is a work from home opportunity as the social enterprise does not have any premises.
Minimum age: 16

Support

Training details: Close working with directors and other contractors including photographers, video producers and stylists Possibly of attendance at FirstPort Scotland and Just Enterprise training and development workshops
