Description

4 The Benefit Of All are a charity which was founded just before lockdown. We plan to open a centre in ground floor, town centre premises in Grangemouth which will provide space for the community, non profit and more than profit organisations as well as off and online wellbeing, learning and development opportunities for those in the area.

We are looking to further strengthen our board with the appointment of Board Members with a strong background in the following to advise and help steer the charity:

  • Marketing
  • Finance

This is seen as crucial to our future development and upscaling of the charity into a mulitsite organisation which will help repopulate the high street, provide local facilities, train and equip people for employment and self employment and provide opportunities for employment and self employment in social media and digital areas.

Our Vision: To help create resilient people and communities with better and more sustainable opportunities for skills development and employment leading a healthy life and inclusive society. Our Objective: To respond to modern-day challenges in the communities by employing innovative means to better the lives of the members of the community across different ages by improving health and wellbeing, learning and development and through coworking and collaboration within the community and our town centre presence.

Frequency and commitment details

A 1 year commitment would be expected to allow growth and development to be visible.

Restrictions

Experience required: Finance - Previous experience of Finance and Financial Planning within the third sector would be an advantage. Marketing - Experience in marketing new and/or growth orientated organisations would be an advantage. Training and Development - Experience of On and Off Line Training and Development including Scottish Qualifications would be an advantage.

Support

Taster available: Yes
Taster details: Interested volunteers are welcome to have an informal chat with the current Board Members in the first instance.
Training details: New volunteers will be provided with a structured induction process. Ongoing training will be encouraged in association with CVS, SES , Business Gateway and Others. Personal one to one support will be offered by an existing board member assigned to "buddy up" with a newcomer.
